Coach of the year award
The Coach of the Year Award is made for the coach or activator who has selflessly given up their time and invested their expertise to help those interested in sport and active lifestyles to improve their skills, confidence and realise their full potential. They have acted as a role model for many and shown a real commitment to improving the ability of others, both within the activity and beyond.
The winner goes to someone who is a positive role model for the community of Fleetwood and actively motivates people to want to do better and feel better in themselves. Head Coach and driving force behind Fleetwood Gym Amateur Boxing Club. He is always putting the extra hours in his own time, whether its driving up and down the motorway taking boxers to their bouts or staying behind with someone who lacks a bit of confidence and giving them an extra bit of training. He also plays a huge role in getting kids off the streets and excelling themselves in boxing, whilst keeping them out of trouble. He has also worked at a national level and is a development coach o the England boxing performance pathway programme, working with the most talented athletes in the country. His work in local schools has been invaluable for so many children, and has also been a HAF provider to work with children and families in the local area.
His unwavering commitment to coaching, his remarkable ability to nurture talent, and his dedication to the betterment of the community make him an exceptionally deserving winner.
