Is my personal data being shared?
To verify your identity, the data you provide will be processed by the Individual Electoral Registration Digital Service managed by the Cabinet Office. As part of this process your data will be shared with the Department of Work and Pensions and Cabinet Office suppliers that are data processors for the Individual Electoral Registration Digital Service. Sometimes, we may also be required to share your personal information with other authorities, organisations or people where they have a legal right to ask for it. This may be for the prevention or detection of crime, or because of legal proceedings. A full list of these organisations and individuals can be viewed here on the Electoral Commissions website. We do not require your consent to do this, but if we are able to do so, we will let you know if we have shared your information.
We participate in the Cabinet Office’s National Fraud Initiative (NFI), a data matching exercise to assist in the prevention and detection of fraud. This data may then be passed on to other public bodies to investigate any matches.
Our software providers Xpress Software Solutions Limited by Civica and our printing company Print Image Network will also process your information, but only on our instructions. They must not use it for any other reason
The council are also legally required to provide copies of the Full Register to certain organisations and individuals. A full list of these organisations and individuals are vailable on the Electoral Commissions website.
The Lancaster & Wyre parliamentary constituency boundary includes eight Wyre Council wards. These are Brock with Catterall, Calder, Garstang, Great Eccleston, Hambleton and Stalmine, Pilling, Preesall and Wyresdale. If you live in one of these wards your data will be shared with Lancaster City Council for the purpose of running a Parliamentary Election.
The Fylde parliamentary constituency boundary includes three Wyre Council wards. These are Breck, Hardhorn with Highcross and Tithebarn. If you live in one of these wards your data will be shared with Fylde Borough Council for the purpose of running a Parliamentary Election.
The Blackpool North and Fleetwood constituency includes five Blackpool Council wards. These are Anchorsholme, Bispham, Greenlands, Ingthorpe and Norbreck. If you live within one of these Blackpool wards your data will be shared with Wyre Council for the purpose of running a Parliamentary Election.
