What are we doing with your personal data?
We need to process your personal data in order to:
- provide you with a response to your request(s)
- verify your identity so that personal information is provided to the right person (in the case of a Data Subject Access Request)
- ensure that inaccurate personal data is corrected or destroyed on your request
We will use anonymised information from your request(s) to generate statistics. We are required to publish statistics on our compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 under the FOI Code of Practice (published 2018)
If we discover that your personal data has been breached, we will investigate whether this is accidental or deliberate and, as far as possible, put in place steps to stop this happening again. Protecting the personal information of our residents is in everyone’s best interests and so is part of our Public Task. If we believe that the incident could impact on your rights and freedoms, we will contact you and advise on ways you can protect your information and privacy going forwards.
No decision will be made about you using only an electronic system (automated decision making). Humans are involved in each step of the process. We will update this Privacy Notice if this situation changes.
