Wyre Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment July 2017
The latest Wyre Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) represents a review of land potentially suitable and available for future residential development. The SHLAA can be used to indicate where residential development could take place (subject to local plan policy and other material considerations) and also as a source of information for the conduct of flood risk sequential tests. The SHLAA is also part of the local plan evidence base. However it does not allocate land for development, nor should it be treated as indicating whether or not planning permission will be granted for residential nor any other development.
The SHLAA consists of:
- the main report
- two sets of appendices (appendices 1-7 and appendices 8-10)
- a site index
- a series of maps indicating the location of each site, and its status within the assessment
The previous 2010 SHLAA remains as a potential source of information on smaller sites (the 2017 SHLAA considers sites of 0.4 hectares or 10 dwellings and above, whereas the 2010 document includes smaller sites).
