Key dates for electors: Marsh Mill By-Election - 7 November 2024

Registering to vote

The deadline to register to vote in time to vote in this by-election is Tuesday 22 October 2024.

Poll Cards

The first batch of poll cards will be mailed out on Friday 11 October 2024 for anyone who was already on the electoral register on 7 October 2024.

The second batch of poll cards will be mailed out on Monday 28 October 2024 for anyone who applied to go on the register between 8 October and 22 October 2024.

Postal Vote

The deadline to apply for a new postal vote, a new postal proxy vote or to make any changes to an existing absent vote is Wednesday 23 October, 5pm.

Postal votes will be mailed out on Monday 28 October 2024.

If you have not received your postal vote, or have misplaced or spoilt it, you can apply for a replacement between Friday 1 November and Thursday 7 November, 5pm.

Proxy Vote

The deadline to apply for a new proxy vote is Wednesday 30 October, 5pm.

Voter Authority Certificate

The deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate is Wednesday 30 October, 5pm.

Emergency Proxy Vote

If you have a medical or work emergency that occurs after 5pm on Wednesday 30 October you may be able to apply for an emergency proxy.  Please contact us for more details about this on 01772 887257 or email electoral.services@wyre.gov.uk

The deadline to apply for an emergency proxy vote is Thursday 7 November, 5pm.
