Lawful basis for processing your data
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and depending on your service request the council may rely on a number of lawful bases for processing your data, these include, but are not restricted to:
- Consent – you have given your consent to the processing of your data for one or more specific purposes – Article 6(1)(a)
- Contract – to deliver a contractual service to you - Article 6(1)(b)
- Legal obligation – to comply with common law or a statutory obligation – Article 6(1)(c)
- Public task – in the exercise of official authority or to perform a specific task in the public interest that is set out in law - Article 6(1)(e)
We may also request special category data in our online forms, for example, medical information, your religious beliefs or ethnic origin and this will be processed under Article 9(2) of the GDPR. We may use this data in the interest of statutory and government purposes, equality of opportunity, safeguarding or administration of justice.
Depending on the service requested alternative privacy notices may apply. These can be found on the Wyre Council website service area privacy notices. In addition, links within the Discover Wyre website to other websites are not covered by this privacy notice. Once you have accessed another website via a link you will be subject to the privacy notice of that site.
