Land west of Great Eccleston
The Wyre local plan allocates land for a substantial village extension at Great Eccleston. The extension will create a mixed use development including residential and employment uses, a community hall, medical centre, new primary school, and local small convenience store. The local plan requires the allocation to be brought forward through a masterplan that will be used to guide the future development of the site.
A six week public consultation on the masterplan concepts closed on 22 January 2019.
The council has published the comments received (with names and personal details removed) which has informed the development of the final masterplan progressed by De Pol Associates and the council.
The Masterplan (Part 1) provides a framework for how the site will be developed. The Part 1 was formally approved by cabinet on 4 December 2019. Please be aware that this is a large document and may take a couple of minutes to load.
The council has now approved the second part of the masterplan for Local Plan allocation SA3/3 Land West of Great Eccleston. The part 2 document establishes a framework for the delivery of the community infrastructure (village hall, medical centre and primary school) and other uses such as residential development. The Part 2 document completes the Masterplan for the allocation.
The Masterplan document has been produced by a third party and is not currently published in an accessible format. Find out more about accessibility on our website
