Local connection
Wyre council may consider if you have a local connection to the borough.
You must meet one of these criteria:
- You have lived in Wyre for at least three years out of five years or six months out of the last 12 months
- You are permanently employed in the area
- You have close family who have lived in the area for at least five years
We will also consider any other special circumstances for you needing to live in Wyre, for example if you are unsafe in the area where you do have a local connection.
If you do not have a local connection to Wyre, we may refer you to an authority where you do have a local connection.
