Rural circular economy
The aim of this fund is to support projects that use and develop local skills in rural areas. A circular economy is defined as an approach to life and business where everything has a value and nothing is wasted with the mantra of ‘make, use, remake,’ with minimal/no waste produced.
Although not exhaustive, circular initiatives may include setting up or enhancement of rural community-led repair cafes or mend workshops. This grant includes provision of premises/ tools or equipment to support the circular economy project. The overarching aim of the fund is to strengthen our social fabric and foster a sense of local pride and belonging, through investment in activities that enhance physical, cultural, and social ties and amenities.
