The brief
Wyre Council would like to utilise space at Poulton-le-Fylde train station. A wall has been identified for use, to the immediate left upon entering the station.
The space available for the installation is approximately 6ft by 6ft.
It is not possible to paint directly onto the wall. The chosen artistic installation must be able to be affixed to the wall.
We welcome applications from creatives of all disciplines, for installations using any type of media and materials.
Wyre Council would like the installation to be permanent. Applications should include detail on how the proposed artistic installation would be installed/affixed to the wall and protected from possible vandalism.
The concept and style of the installation is open to the interpretation of the artist, and Wyre Council welcomes creative ideas and concepts for this project.
The application should keep in mind the aims of the project, which are to welcome visitors to Wyre at the borough’s gateway, and to offer a social media photo opportunity complementary to the bustling evening economy of Poulton.
