Initiatives
There are also many initiatives for your school to get involved in to help save energy and money, including:

- Green Schools Project (Terracycle) - become a recycling hub to reduce waste and raise funds for your school.
- School Gardening Awards (Royal Horticultural Society) - take part in this free award and utilise their resources, activities and information to help create a school garden.
- Green Tree Schools Award (Woodland Trust) - a free award that helps the environment and improve your grounds through fun and practical projects.
- Eco-Schools - a simple seven-step framework suitable for all schools, to help tackle climate change and empower young people to make a difference.
- 30 Days Wild Challlenge (The Wildlife Trusts) - do something wild everyday in June!
- John Muir Award (John Muir Trust) - find fun and effective ways to take learning outdoors.
- Solar for Schools - decarbonise your school and learn about energy and sustainability in the process.
- Count your Carbon (Keep Britain Tidy and Eco-Schools) - a free tool to help you calculate your education settings carbon footprint.
- Free Climate Action Advisor support (Let's Go Zero) - free and tailored advice to help your school lower its carbon impact.
