The beach patrol service operates at two beaches only: Marine Beach in Fleetwood and Jubilee Beach in Cleveleys. The patrol service does not cover the whole of the Wyre coast.
The beach patrol service will operate from 10.30am - 5pm on the following dates:
- Weekends from Saturday 8 May - Sunday 30 May
- Monday 31 May – Sunday 6 June
- Weekends only from Saturday 12 June - Sunday 18 July
- Monday 19 July - Tuesday 31 August
The Coastguard, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the National Coastwatch Institution all look out for the safety of visitors to the coast, along with the Police and Fire and Rescue Service. The council's rangers and other officers inspect our coastline and beach daily. They ensure Wyre’s coastline is kept clean, safe and enjoyable for both residents and visitors.
Please take care if you choose to swim. The water can be very cold, and the tide can come in quickly.
For more safety information and guidance when visiting Wyre's beaches see Beach safety or visit Royal National Lifeboat Institution - Beach Safety.
