How decisions are made on a planning application
All applications must be determined in accordance with:
- relevant planning law
- national planning policy
- the national planning practice guidance
- the council’s own practices and procedures including the scheme of delegation set out in the council's constitution
Most applications are determined by officers under delegated powers. Where applications are determined by the council’s planning committee, details on the way the committee works and the right to speak at committee can be found below:
