Highways England evidence base (2016)
Following on from the Wyre local plan ‘issues and options’ consultation, Highways England presented evidence to assist Wyre council to determine the spatial strategy it should adopt from the perspective of impacts upon the strategic road network (SRN).
The evidence focuses on the A585 (T) corridor from M55 Junction 3 to Fleetwood from the perspective of ‘scenario 1’ (Fleetwood/Thornton-Cleveleys/Poulton/Over-Wyre development focus) of the issues and options consultation, which would be likely to have the greatest impact upon the SRN.
Highways England’s evidence consists of the following documents:
Evidence Base report – provides a summary of the findings of the main study.
Study report – details the modelled, operational analysis that has been undertaken of the key SRN junctions within the A585 (T) corridor and route links, based upon the data and locations that the council has specified as being reflective of ‘scenario 1’.
Highways England’s consultants have also undertaken operational analysis of M55 Junction 3 with a view to considering the operational performance of the junction by assessing the impacts of sites within the emerging Fylde local plan together with those in the Wyre local plan.
