Garstang Walking Festival - Glasson Dock and Galgate - two villages with a shared history

The Glasson Dock & Galgate walk compares these two villages, both for their growth, similarities and their differences.

We set off across fields and through a wood to the Lancaster Canal. Learn the importance of the railway to both villages. Walk the length of the Glasson Branch of the canal observing the wildlife. Finishing with views of Morecambe Bay and the Lune Estuary.
