You can host events in Wyre at many different council-owned sites and buildings. If and where you can host your event depends on when a venue or site is available, traffic restrictions, safety and risk assessments, and if the event is suitable.
Other agencies including the police, other emergency services, Lancashire County Council, and the Highways Agency may also need to be consulted before an event can be approved.

Council land and sites
The district of Wyre is a great place to hold events due to its many and varied public spaces, whether along its beautiful coastal strip, or in one of its well-maintained and spacious municipal parks.
The Mount and Mount Gardens
The Mount, located in Fleetwood, was built in 1901, and recently restored for use in events and weddings.
Marine Gardens
Marine Gardens is an outdoors area in Fleetwood featuring facilities such as bowling greens and picnic areas.
Euston Gardens
Euston Gardens, Fleetwood, is located near the Lower Lighthouse and iconic North Euston Hotel.
Memorial Park and Pavilion
The Memorial Park in Fleetwood is Green Flag awarded and includes a pavilion and sensory garden.
Vicarage Park (Jean Stansfield Memorial)
Vicarage Park, Poulton-le-Fylde, is Green Flag awarded and a high quality space with a multi-use game area.
Jubilee Gardens
Jubilee Gardens, Cleveleys, is a seafront park with a multi-use games area. The gardens are currently being used as a staging and storage area for ongoing sea defence works and are not available to host any events. This work is expected to be completed by October 2026.
Wyre Estuary Country Park
Wyre Estuary Country Park is an award-winning park in Thornton, located on the banks of the River Wyre.
Hawthorne Park
Hawthorn Park, Thornton, is a Green Flag awarded park with quiet areas and sport equipment.
Cottam Hall Playing Fields
Cottam Hall Playing Fields, Poulton-le-Fylde, has a large green space for use, with a community garden and walking areas.
Rossall Point Observation Tower
Rossall Point Tower, Fleetwood, can be hired for small events.
Wyre's beaches
Wyre's promenades and beaches are available for events at selected locations between Cleveleys and Fleetwood, including Cleveleys Plaza.
Wyre theatres
We hire our indoor spaces at Marine Hall and at Thornton Little Theatre.
The Market Place, Poulton-le-Fylde
The Market Place is the responsibility of Lancashire County Council as it is classed as a highway and any enquiries should be directed to them on 0300 1236780.
If you wish to host an event here, you must avoid the market day on Monday and consult with St Chads church authorities so church services are not affected.
How to apply
If you would like to apply to use Wyre council land, you must fill in an online application form 12 weeks before the date of the event.
For charitable and non-profit events, each use of land licence costs £50. Fees will differ for commercial events. Contact the arts and events team at artsandevents@wyre.gov.uk for more details on fees.
Unless you have arranged with the council beforehand, the application fee will be taken when you submit your online form. If other charges are needed, they will be explained and included with the application fee.
