Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for alcohol related anti-social behaviour
The Public Space Protection Order for alcohol related anti-social behaviour has been formally adopted by Wyre Council and came into force on Monday 26 February 2024.
The Order which covers certain areas of public space within the towns of Cleveleys, Fleetwood, Garstang and Poulton-le-Fylde, requires individuals to stop consuming alcohol, or to surrender any alcohol in their possession, when asked to do so by an authorised officer of the police or council. Individuals can be prosecuted or given a fixed penalty of up to £100 if they fail to do as asked.
