Rateable value
The rateable value is set by the Valuation Office Agency (VOA). If you think your rateable value is incorrect you can use the VOA check, challenge and appeal system to:
Check
- check the rateable value of any property
- request details to be changed if they are incorrect
Challenge
- challenge a rateable value
- request a property to be taken out of the rating list
Appeal
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your challenge, you can appeal. You must state the reasons for your appeal. The full list of rateable values, together with information on the grounds for making an appeal and details of how to make an appeal can be found on the VOA website.
